Change the lives of vulnerable children.

I recently had the need to contact Called to Care on behalf of one of my DFCS children. This was my first experience with them. The child has not had his own bed in some time and within hours of contacting Called to Care, they delivered a bed to his new home. He was so proud to show it to me and tell me how soft it was, which was such a blessing to see. It is such a blessing to see how the ministry works right here where it is needed, when it is needed.

Called to Care has been such a blessing to my foster home. This awesome group of folks sure make things easier for DFCS and caregivers. Children aren’t forced to enter foster care with nothing. They provide “journey bags” with necessary toiletries, clothing, shoes, and a blanket. I have even had my bonus babies show up with toys, a stuffed animal and coloring books. C2C is also on the front line for helping the foster family obtain beds, bedding, car seats and whatever is necessary to get these kids situated in your home. I know this first hand because they have stepped up to help me get toddler beds and bedding for my littles, and clothing for the older children (on top of the journey bags they received). C2C advocates for foster homes 24/7. They host events to help with school supplies and entertaining, events for the foster families, as well as special events to care for all of our kids to give the caregivers a couple of hours to just take a breath. I am thankful for Called to Care!!!

I couldn't do my job as successfully without Called to Care. All I have to do is make a simple phone call and you come through. Now, children know there are kind people out there that will help them. The needs of the children may seem petty or small, like a request for a new coat or pants, but when you have no where to turn, who will provide for them? It's you, Called to Care! But, it's not all about the kids. I had a family who had a CPS report for not having water services. Your recommendation landed him a full-time job to provide for his family and now he is doing very well. Whatever the need, Called to Care has been there to answer for my families.
